Established in 2013, and formerly known as Southwest Retina Consultants, Southwest Eye Consultants is dedicated to providing the highest quality, most advanced medical and surgical eye care in the Four Corners region that includes southwest Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Arizona.
As the premier ophthalmology practice in the Four Corners region, Southwest Eye Consultants merged with New Mexico Eye Clinic (Scott D. Allen, MD & Associates, PC) in 2021 to become the area's largest multispecialty and multicenter eye care practice.
Since its inception in 2013, Southwest Eye Consultants has strived to maintain a core mission to become regional leaders in the most advanced vision-saving therapeutics and state-of-the-art medical and surgical eye care. The opening of our local research center in Fall 2018, the addition of new providers, and our practice's relocation into a new, expanded medical office facility is a testimony of our ongoing commitment to serve our community's growing needs.
Through the merger with New Mexico Eye Clinic, Southwest Eye Consultants has become the area's largest multispecialty and multicenter eye care practice. This merger allowed us to provide our patients with greater access to our board-certified ophthalmologists as they rotate between our Durango, Cortez, and Farmington locations.
